IN AN effort to prevent alcohol being smuggled onboard ships, Carnival Cruise Line has imposed a ban on all bottled beverages coming onboard with customers, unless if in an unopened package. CCL said inspecting bottles was “bogging down” the embarkation process, with bad behaviour often being traced to bootleg alcohol.
