River cruise operators in
Europe are keeping a close watch
on the Danube River in Eastern
Europe as water levels between
Regensburg and Passau threaten
to disrupt the summer season.
Currently, only a few departures
have been impacted, with Avalon
Waterways forced to cancel one
cruise onboard Avalon Affinity.
Passengers on that sailing were
accommodated on other ships in
the Avalon fleet, the line said.
Viking River Cruises has posted
information on its website,
advising some pax will need to
change from one ship to another.
Two cruises between Berlin and
Prague have also been cancelled.
Scenic and APT have both told
Cruise Weekly their operations
have not been affected.
