MODEL boat maker and nonagenarian Robert Butler is celebrating his 25th anniversary of his craft.
For the past quarter-century, the 98-year-old Sydney-based Word War II veteran has been donating the model ships he crafts to aged care residents – a group he would have no trouble qualifying for himself.
To date, he has donated more than a dozen boats to residents of assisted living facility Whiddon Easton Park in west Sydney.
