RESIDENTS of Cambridge in the United Kingdom were horrified recently to witness giant piles of poo floating in a local river.
Fortunately, they were just models launched by climate activists Little Blue Dot to highlight river pollution.
Dubbed Sewage Sat, the stunt’s intent was to highlight the amount of untreated human waste pumped into waterways.
Joining the poo pile models were canoers, sporting signs such as “boaters against floaters” and “stop the poonami”, with figures suggesting a rise in the number of water pollution incidents.
