THE Ford Bronco may not have the best name, due to its use in an infamous car chase, but it is attempting to rehab some of its reputation, following the announcement it will be the first vehicle to use components from 1o0% recycled ocean plastic.
Ford said the “ghost gear,” so named because it originates from discarded nylon fishing equipment, was collected from the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea.
The move is the next step in Ford’s goal to build its vehicles using 100% sustainable materials in the future.
