A sperm whale skull has somehow been stolen from a New South Wales museum.
The Killer Whale Museum in Eden told Nine News it was “very distressed” to learn that part of the collection had been taken on Mon.
The skull was being stored in a shed while the Museum was undergoing renovations.
The gate to the shed was found unlocked yesterday morning, leading to questions about who had access.
The Museum said given the weight and size of the skull, large machinery such as a crane and flatbed truck would have been needed to move it, leading to questions such as who…and why?
