CORAL Expeditions is venturing
into untapped regions of Asia,
with the launch of their inaugural
Asia 2016/17 program.
The seven itineraries focus on
areas which are otherwise “very
difficult” to get to by land, Coral
Expeditions general manager
Mark Fifield told Cruise Weekly.
“There’s only been a couple
of smaller ships that have come
through the area and a lot of
that’s been through more of
a relocation exercise whereas
we’ve got the ability to have the
ship stationed there for the six
month period,” Fifield said.
Out of the stops in Southeast
Asia, 80% are unique, new stops
for the company as they look
for ways to venture away from
mainstream areas, he added.
“People are just looking
for a different, more cultural
experience and an experience
that isn’t just run-of-the-mill,”
Fifield said.
