States and territories will soon advise of their readiness to receive cruise ships.
Australia’s cruise ship ban will officially end on 17 April, the federal government has confirmed, after the news was foreshadowed by Minister for Tourism Dan Tehan yesterday.
A joint press release issued by Tehan, alongside the Minister for Health and Minister for Home Affairs, confirmed international cruise ships will be able to arrive at Australian ports from next month.
P&O Cruises Australia’s first sailing will depart 31 May, 25 months since the government first banned international cruise ship arrivals in Mar 2020.
