INTERNATIONAL cruises will call on Jeju Island again for the first time in more than three years, South Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo has reported, bringing much-needed tourism revenue to the destination.
The first cruise ship to dock at Jeju since Oct 2019 will be Phoenix Reisen’s Amadea, when she arrives on 16 Mar.
The ship will be followed by vessels from Japan and Taiwan, with a total of five more ships expected to visit during the month.
By Nov, more than 20 ships are expected to call on Jeju’s two cruise ports.
