MOVE over mega shark
and giant octopus, a giant
sea creature has taken up
residence in Islander Resort in
Surfers Paradise.
The inflatable ‘Octopied Hotel’
art sculpture is the brainchild
of street artist Luke Egan, who
created the installation to signify
the first partnership between
Sand Safari and the annual Swell
festival.
The creature did not come
alone, with other landmarks
also taken over by inflatable
works, including jellyfish in Cavill
Mall and an oversized octopus
floating over the Soul building.
