ONE of Williamsburg, Virginia’s biggest events each year is its Lighted Boat Parade, which takes place around Christmas time; however this year’s event has become embroiled in controversy after the winner was revoked their prize.
The boat, which was certainly worthy of victory thanks to its impressive lights display, also unfortunately exhibited a light display of lewd messaging regarding the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
Once the embarrassment was noticed, the winner was stripped of his prize, and an apology was issued to parade participants and spectators.
However, the scorned victor has chosen to continue to recognise his retroactive victory, telling the media “everyone knows who really won.”
Unfortunately, it certainly wasn’t the community.
