SKIPPER for Australia’s SailGP team Tom Slingsby has offered the American team a few “alcoholic presents” after the Aussies accidentally capsized the 50-foot catamaran they were borrowing from their competitors.
Fortunately, there were only minor injuries, and the boat was quickly righted, before being towed back to base in Bermuda’s Great Sound last week during the Australians’ first training session for the tour’s season opener.
