Two crew have died in a collision between Viking Freya and a bridge in Erlangen, Germany early Sun morning.
The deceased were in the vessels’ retractable wheelhouse at the time of the impact and died as a result of injuries sustained during the collision.
No one else was hurt and all guests were transported to local hotels to either continue their journey on another vessel, or return home.
The majority have continued on a modified itinerary.
In a statement, Viking Cruises, said execs have been on the scene since the accident, and are cooperating completely with local authorities as they investigate.
