LAST week Escape Travel agents from across Australia enjoyed an eight-day sojourn in France, courtesy of Avalon Waterways. The voyage departed Paris to Normandy onboard Avalon Waterways’ Creativity, and took agents to quaint villages along the Seine, Vincent van Gogh’s Auvers-sur-Oise, Claude Monet’s gardens in Giverny, Joan of Arc’s Rouen and the poignant WWII D-Day landing beaches.
